Application Cases of PHOENIX-180C UV Curing Equipment from Bomingwei Technology
Project Timeline: August 2025
I. Project Background
In August 2025, a municipal sewage main pipeline repair project was carried out in a district of Shanghai. The pipeline, located beneath the green belt of a sidewalk in a core commercial area, is a DN1400 sewage main pipeline with a single repair section length of 185 meters. Preliminary inspections revealed localized cracks and leaks in the pipeline. Failure to repair these promptly could lead to soil subsidence, impacting traffic flow and pedestrian safety in the above commercial area. The project faced two major challenges: first, the pipe diameter exceeded standard specifications (DN1400 is considered large), requiring the repair material to adhere evenly to the inner wall of the pipe during the curing process, placing extremely high demands on equipment stability; second, the project required a long-distance repair in one go, with the 185-meter single-section repair length far exceeding the standard operating range of ordinary equipment, placing higher demands on the equipment's signal transmission stability, power endurance, cable length (compatible with over 200 meters), and lighting chain power. After multiple rounds of technical demonstrations, the construction unit finally selected the PHOENIX-180C UV curing equipment (hereinafter referred to as "180C equipment") from Bomingwei Technology. Its strong scalability and stable performance became the key to solving the problem.
II. Application Cases
1. A 300-meter custom-designed integrated cable cabinet overcomes the bottleneck of long-distance operations. Addressing the need for a single 185-meter repair section, Bomingwei Technology has specially customized a 300-meter integrated cable cabinet to replace the standard 180-meter cable. This customized cable cabinet not only fully covers the entire 185-meter pipeline but also provides ample redundancy to handle complex scenarios such as pipeline bends, ensuring the light fixture moves smoothly within the pipeline without obstruction. This effectively solves the problems of insufficient cable length and easy jamming during long-distance operations with ordinary equipment, guaranteeing continuous progress of repair work.
2. Electric telescopic light chain, suitable for uniform curing of large-diameter pipes. Considering the high requirements for curing uniformity in DN1400 pipes, the 180C equipment uses two 2×4×2000W electric telescopic light chains. The light chains have high power output characteristics, ensuring a smooth and unobstructed pipe lowering process, and can evenly cover the inner wall of the DN1400 pipe, avoiding uneven curing in certain areas. Simultaneously, the equipment supports multi-level power adjustment of the light chains, allowing for precise matching of the appropriate power according to the pipe diameter, further ensuring curing quality.
During the operation, staff used a portable control terminal to view high-definition images inside the pipeline in real time, simultaneously monitoring key data such as the temperature of the pipe walls before and after the operation, the power of the light chain, and the current working distance to ensure that the curing process met technical standards. From the insertion of the light fixture into the pipe to the completion of curing, the equipment ran continuously for 8 hours without any problems such as light chain failure or cable jamming. Ultimately, 185 meters of pipeline were repaired in one go, with controllable quality and stable efficiency throughout the process.
III. Solutions
Bomingwei Technology PHOENIX-180C UV Curing EquipmentThis equipment can meet the trenchless repair needs of various pipe diameters from DN150 to 1600, and is especially suitable for long-distance (100-300 meters) single-segment pipeline repair scenarios, such as major traffic arteries, commercial areas, and railway/highway underpasses where excavation is not possible. It can handle various structural defects in pipelines such as collapse, deformation, disconnection, leakage, and corrosion. The equipment adopts an advanced digital integrated drive system with a modular design, featuring intelligent visualization (15-inch tail screen on the main unit and 12-inch visual screen on the control terminal), precise temperature control, intelligent cable retraction, and automatic storage and traceability of work data. The light chain system includes 1×9×1000W small light chains (compatible with DN150-800) and 2×4×2000W light chains. The electric telescopic light chain (compatible with DN800-1600) also supports customization of larger specifications, offering strong expandability. Furthermore, this equipment can be paired with Bomingwei's independently developed drainage network repair hose (integrating UV protection, paint resistance, high-strength fiberglass braiding, and inner lining) to provide customers with a one-stop trenchless repair solution encompassing "equipment + materials + technical support".

The customized configuration and stable performance of the 180C equipment successfully solved the challenge of trenchless repair of large-diameter, long-distance pipelines, avoiding the impact of excavation repairs on traffic and residents' lives in commercial areas. It also ensured repair quality and operational safety, providing replicable practical experience for trenchless repair of large-diameter, long-distance pipelines in core urban areas. Furthermore, the customization capabilities and intelligent advantages demonstrated by the equipment in this case study provide technical support for pipeline repair projects in more complex scenarios in the future.
